These wheels are a dead ringer for the $98 wheels people buy at Discount Tire for their 2004 Camry after bending a wheel because they drove directly over a pothole (having seen it and possessing the ability to avoid it) and thought it would be fine and just need the cheapest option available.

Five-spoke silver/black wheels are one of the pillars of modern automotive society/

If they’re putting them on the CLA or really any C class, they’ve got the correct market demographic.

just need the cheapest option available
I mean, that’s their entire strategy for this car, so why not?

The C-class is actually pretty nice. It’s everything below it that’s hot garbage.

remember when Mercedes alloys all looked similar to this?

Reminds me of this

If they’re the base wheel then it’s Mercedes’s subtle suggestion that you should upgrade. It’s only 5k for the other optional wheels, what are you poor?

That’s an insult to the Accord.

The Accord wheels are good design, just to set the record straight. Just un-stick the individual spokes on the A class and we’ll be good to go

The sooner the “ black-inside, silver-face outside” wheel trend dies, the better.

I hate the wheel within a wheel weelception designs as well. Acura does this and I hate it

Feels like they got bought out by Honda

Or...the stock Accord Sport wheels.

Agree, but the drivers/owners are who I was referring to.

Yeah, that’s kinda true.

This looks like an evolution of a couple different common W213 wheels, production starting 2016:

Those actually do look like the wheels my girlfriend almost got for her 2004 Camry after she ran over a sign post in the highway (long story, a semi hit an exit sign knocking it into the highway, the post took out about 14 cars, semi drove off but got tracked down and arrested)

I never knew how close to home I would hit with that assessment, but I knew I had seen this exact setup more than enough times to use that exact metaphor.

She got a steelie instead, at my suggestion. It was a messy situation and dealing with her and her dad (both equally as clueless with cars) was a test in patience. For some reason Walmart is the best place for wheels and tires so that’s the only place they wanted to shop, despite being $100+ more expensive
